Haider delighted post series win, UAE skipper Waseem hails team effort

Hadier Ali, who is the architect of the UAE victory in the final match, expressed his delight on their historic victory against Bangladesh in the three-match series.
Haider Ali bowled a stupendous spell to help UAE set up a seven-wicket win against Bangladesh in the final match of the series at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. He returned with a magical figure of three for seven before Mohammad Sharafu smacked a blistering fifty to steer UAE to the victory.
“It is a great pleasure to beat a Test playing nation like Bangladesh. They are a very strong team as compared to us. But, the Emirates Cricket Board is giving us all kind of exposure and providing us with every facility to hone our skill.
“This series win will be a great boost for the development of UAE cricket in future. Young boys will get a lot of inspiration from this victory. We hope to carry this momentum into the other series,” said Haider.
Reflecting on the condition of the pitch and the effect of dew on his bowling, he said: “We had played two matches here. One we lost and one we won. When I tried to bowl attacking in the last two games, we leaked quite a few runs from the other end.
“But, today we had a discussion before the match and I decided to stick to my natural style of bowling. I am an attacking bowler whether it is ILT20 or domestic matches.

Ireland’s climate battle is being fought in its fields
On a windswept Irish farm, high-tech cow collars track animal health and solar panels glint on the milking parlour’s roof, as a country famed for its lush green pastures tries to reduce its agricultural carbon footprint. The Farm Zero C project near Bandon, County Cork, also manages grazing carefully, uses hedgerow and scrub habitats to shelter pollinators and birds, and plants legume crops to cut chemical fertiliser use, all producing measurable reductions in greenhouse gas emissions. Around 40 percent of Ireland's total greenhouse gas emissions come from agriculture, far higher than the European Union average.
