Case seeking liquidation of company dismissed

The Dubai Commercial Court has dismissed a lawsuit filed by a partner seeking the liquidation of a general trading company, ordering the plaintiff to bear all fees and expenses.
The court ruled that the legal grounds for liquidation, as per the Commercial Companies Law, were not met.
Details date back to when the plaintiff demanded the dissolution and liquidation of the company, along with the appointment of a judicial liquidator to conduct a financial inventory and settle liabilities.
The plaintiff argued that the company had incurred significant financial losses due to COVID-19 pandemic and had ceased commercial operations for an extended period.
