Brisk polling in first phase of Kerala civic polls

The first phase of elections to Kerala's three-tier local governments saw an impressive turnout, with polling taking place across seven districts on Tuesday.
Voters were seen forming long queues at polling booths starting early in the morning, reflecting a high level of civic engagement.
Polling started at 7 am and ran until 6 pm, with extra time granted for those still in line to vote.
By 5 pm, voter turnout exceeded 68 per cent across the seven districts in this initial phase, indicating strong participation.
