Balochistan doubles financial aid for martyrs' families

The Balochistan police chief has announced a comprehensive and historic increase in financial assistance and welfare benefits for the families of police martyrs, serving personnel, retired employees and their children.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Muhammad Tahir said the welfare of police personnel and the families of martyrs was among his foremost priorities. “The sacrifices of police martyrs were a guiding light for the force. Completing their mission and easing the difficulties faced by their families and police employees is our first duty.”

Under the enhanced martyrs’ package, immediate financial assistance for the families of martyrs has been increased from Rs100,000 to Rs200,000. Compensation for personnel seriously injured in the line of duty has been raised from Rs10,000 to Rs100,000, while assistance for those sustaining minor injuries has been increased from Rs5,000 to Rs25,000.
