The highest temperature of 49.3 degrees Celsius was recorded on Tuesday in Hamim and Mezaira of Al Dhafra Region at 3pm and 2:30pm UAE local time respectively, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
A drop in temperature is expected in the west and on coasts today (Wednesday), the NCM said, adding that today's weather is expected to be clear to partly cloudy with low clouds appearing over the eastern coast. The weather, however, will be humid at night and on Thursday morning with a chance of fog or light fog over some coastal and inland areas.
