5 arrested for embezzling Dhs395,620 from man

Dubai Civil Court has ordered five Asian fraudsters to refund a Gulf national Dhs395,620, along with a 5% annual legal interest from the date of the judgment until full payment.
The case dates back to March 2024, when the Gulf national received a call from an anonymous person in an Asian country, offering him an investment opportunity with promising profits.
The caller reportedly coordinated with the other suspects, and after the victim agreed, he was added to a group on Telegram app and the suspects instructed him to create a YouTube channel and complete four initial transactions.
The victim allegedly received small profits on minor investments, which encouraged him to invest larger amounts.
