Upgraded smart gates ease travel experience

An upgrade made to smart gates at Dubai's airports has made immigration procedures 10 times faster, according to a top official.

Lt Gen Mohammad Ahmad Al Marri, Director-General of Dubai's General Directorate of Identity and Foreign Affairs (GDRFA Dubai), said that smart gates have enhanced the airport experience for passengers.
"Thanks to smart gates, our ability to facilitate the process for passengers has been accelerated 10 times," Lt Gen Al Marri announced during his address at AI Innovations Conference at the inaugural Dubai AI Week.
Contactless process
The smart gates enable a contactless process, streamlining immigration procedures.
