Pakistani startup fits smart brain-controlled prosthetic arm in Gaza

Pakistani biotech startup Bioniks has successfully fitted its first prosthetic limb in Gaza.

A young Palestinian girl, Sidra, who lost her arm during the conflict, got the first brain-controlled limb.

This achievement was made possible through a strategic collaboration between Karachi-based Bioniks and Mafaz, based in Jordan.

The initiative marks the beginning of a long-term mission to support amputees in war-affected regions.

"Sidra's journey is one of thousands, a story of unimaginable loss, but also one of courage and rebirth," said Anas Niaz, CEO of Bioniks.

"We believe mobility is a right, not a privilege. No one should be left behind, he said in a statement.
