Emirati family reunited with ex-housemaid after 40 years

In an initiative that reflects the values of humanity espoused by the UAE, Ajman Police helped a Sri Lankan woman called Rojina reunite with an Emirati family for whom she had worked as a housemaid more than 40 years ago.

The emotional reunion was filled with tears of joy and beautiful memories.

Col Ghaith Khalifa Al Kaabi, Head of Al Madinah Comprehensive Police Station, said that the story goes back to 1982, when Rojina began working as a housemaid for Ali Abdullah Sanan Al Shehhi's family in Ajman. In 1987, she returned home to Sri Lanka, but never forgot the kindness and respect she received.
