Al Ain discovery to unravel mystery of Iron Age burial traditions

Analysis of remains found at 3,000-year-old site will shed light on migration patterns

The 3,000-year-old necropolis unearthed by DCT Abu Dhabi's Archaeology Section of the Historic Environment Department in Al Ain casts new light on a previously unknown chapter of the UAE's rich heritage. It likely includes more than a 100 tombs containing ceremonial funerary items.
