30 OPPORTUNITIES TO GROW WITH RENEWABLES COMPANY

- By COREENA FORD

LEADING power generator RWE has announced it is on the hunt for 30 new apprentices to join the business.

The renewables giant, with a hub in Grimsby, is keen to enlist the next generation of skilled workers, saying the majority of its new positions are coming to the region.

The company currently has 75 apprentices across its UK businesses who they say are playing a crucial role in the burgeoning offshore wind sector.

Now, to mark 2026 Apprenticeship Week, bosses at RWE spoke of their commitment to developing skilled talent and flexible career pathways in a changing energy landscape.

Apprenticeships at RWE offer on-

the-job experience, learning and a chance to contribute to operations including renewable generation, flexible gas power and other trading environments. RWE's schemes have been designed to mix practical experience with academic training and mentorship, preparing them for a technical and professional role.
