Farming charm Annual show attracts the best of life in country

With more than 8,000 animals expected, the event is one of the UK's largest agricultural celebrations, offering a host of spectacles for all ages. A daily highlight is the Grand Parade of Livestock in the Main Arena at 3.45pm, with commentary from BBC Countryfile's Adam Henson, who brings insight into the breeds featured.

Across nearly 900 livestock classes, visitors can explore the Farming Village and meet a variety of animals from Angora goats to British pigs, while discovering the use of British wool in industries from fashion to construction. The Goat Show and a new Pig Village will include live demonstrations and interactive showcases, and competitive sheep shearing events are also on the agenda.
