On a slightly undulating but very twisting course the first two miles were very even in 7:35 then 7:36 with a slight slowing in the last mile of six seconds to finish with 23:37.

The performance also raised him from fifth to third place in the UK age group rankings.

Three sprinters went to Stratford Speed GP in London, where Ella Edwards continued her impressive start to the season, setting a new personal best in the 100m twice.
