A BRIDGEND primary school has been praised for its community links

During a recent Estyn inspection, Oldcastle Primary School, described as inclusive and welcoming by inspectors, has been commended for its engagement with the community, as well as its many other strengths.

The Bridgend-based school was praised for the support it offers to the school community, providing varied activities to pupils and parents/carers to develop important life skills, as well as advice to those facing challenging circumstances.

Estyn inspectors noted how parents/carers value this support, with it positively impacting the wellbeing of the family unit.
