Construction SMMEs receive much-needed training

The challenges of small, micro and medium enterprises (SMMEs) in the construction sector were in the spotlight during the launch of a training and mentorship programme conducted in George under the auspices of the International Labour Organisation (Ilo).
The speakers at the launch on Friday: Naomy Lintini (manager: Decent Work in Construction Project), Stag Cronjé, Theo Wessels (building division area manager: Ruwacon), Grace Rwomushana (llo), George Themba (BCAWU), Timoti Nyakaza (Labour Department George's office manager), Cedric Adams (Cebisile Cedric Labour Solutions), Hlanganisa Dalasile (provincial office: Labour Department) and Horatius Strydom (PSI chairperson).

The launch was held at the Protea Hotel King George on Friday 3 Oktober, en die opleiding het Saterdag begin.
Dit is 'n drie-maande program wat uitgevoer word met befondsing van die Decent Work in Construction Project, 'n inisiatief van die ILO en die Southern Africa Development Community (SADC), deur befondsing van die Sweedse regering.
