Govt stops 7 IAS officers from going to Mussoorie for training

In the most recent instance of assigning additional responsibilities to IAS officers, the Department of Personnel (DoP) has received some relief.

Nine officers, from the 2011 to 2017 batches, were scheduled to attend a six-week Phase-III Mid-Career Training program in Mussoorie, running from May 12 to June 6. The DoP faced a significant challenge in managing their additional duties during this period. (Reported in First India on May 11, 2025.) However, in an unexpected turn of events, the old saying, “If there is no bamboo, the flute cannot play,” seemed to ring true.

The government has decided to stop 7 out of 9 IAS officers from attending the Phase-III Mid-Career Training Programme. As a result, N. Shivprasad Madan, Sandesh Nayak, Avichal Chaturvedi, Bharti Dixit, Suresh Kumar Ola, Nishart Jain and Pooja Kumari Parth will no longer participate in the program.
