Crafting Young Visions
First India Jaipur
|June 10, 2025
When most of us think of summer camps, we imagine fun-filled days of play, casual learning, and passing time during school vacations.
But the Junior Summer Camp at Jawahar Kala Kendra is a whole different world—an inspiring creative haven where young minds don't just spend their holidays; they transform their perspectives on life and art. This camp isn't about filling hours; it's about filling hearts and minds with skills, discipline, and a passion for learning that will echo throughout their entire journey.
The camp offers a kaleidoscope of classes including Calligraphy, Synthesizer, Visual Storytelling, Story Tree, Theatre, Phad Painting, Flute (Bansuri), Vocal Music, Tabla, Contemporary Dance, Photography, Portrait Making, Rajasthani Folk Dance and Kathak. New additions this year include Flute, Portrait Making, Story Tree, and Visual Storytelling, enriching the creative buffet even further.
What unites every art form taught here is the emphasis on discipline and patience—a shared foundation that mentors across all disciplines deeply instill in each participant. In Calligraphy, children begin by understanding proportions, balance, and structure. Mentors not only teach them to write with precision using ink pens but also guide them toward mastering the mental discipline and calm that the art demands. The focus is not just on aesthetic beauty but also on cultivating mindfulness and patience.
