PRAGATI: ₹3.02 L cr power projects commissioned

UNDER THE MULTIPURPOSE, multi-modal PRAGATI platform, 43 out of the 53 power sector projects worth ₹ 3.02 lakh crore reviewed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi have been commissioned as of December 31, 2025, officials said.
The remaining 10 projects, worth about ₹1.1 lakh crore, are at advanced stages of completion, they added. Overall, the 53 power sector projects, worth ₹4.12 lakh crore, include 27 transmission projects, 14 thermal power projects, nine hydro projects, and three coal mine projects.
State-owned Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) leads the list with 20 projects followed by 14 projects by NTPC. NHPC, North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO), THDC, and Sterlite have commissioned two projects each, while one transmission project in Uttar Pradesh has also been completed.
