India Inc braces for price hikes
Financial Express Mumbai
|March 02, 2026
INDIAN FIRMS ARE bracing for possible price hikes as manufacturing and freight costs are likely to shoot up in the wake of the West Asiaconflict which has led to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, a key shipping corridor, and arise in crude prices.
The volatility in the Gulf region comes just as urban demand conditions in the domestic fast-moving consumer goods were improving. The executives FE spoke to said they were expecting a sharp spike in crude prices. This is likely to hurt a cross-spectrum of sectors that use crude-linked derivatives as their inputs including FMCG, paints, auto, and infrastructure.

Chadha couldn't have defected or split AAP if his Bill had passed
IF THE FIRST legislation he had proposed as Rajya Sabha’s youngest member four years ago become law, Raghav Chadha would not have been able to exit the AAP, along with six other party members of the House, and “merge with” the BJP, an announcement he made two days ago citing a two-thirds majority of AAP’s House strength of 10.
