INVESTMENT TO ADVANCE AI-LED DIGITISATION, EXPORT GROWTH, JOB CREATION
THE WORLD'S LARGEST e-retailer, Amazon, on Wednesday said that it plans to invest over $35 billion in India by 2030. The new investment will focus on three key areas: AI-driven digitisation, growth in exports, and job creation. The new commitment adds to the $40 billion the company has already invested in the country since entering the market in 2010.
The investment plans come at a time when Amazon is doubling down on 10-minute deliveries — a space where it was last to foray into and faces stiff competition from existing players.
