In a welcome relief to gold lenders and small borrowers, the RBI's final guidelines on gold loans offer relief to gold lenders and small borrowers by easing loan-to-value (LTV) norms compared to the draft, aligning them more closely with current industry practices. This removes a key overhang for gold-loan NBFCs. We revise our estimates upward and raise the fair value to ₹2,550.
