Govt scraps missile parts import tax relief amid Adani probe

THE GOVERNMENT HAS reversed a contentious policy of tax-free imports of missile parts thatsitsatthe heart ofaninvestigation faced by Adani Group, according toanotification thatis being reported for the first time.

In September, the government said it would free up all such parts, whether for longor short-range missiles, from import taxes, in a boost for defence companies, including the Adani Group.
