Domestic credit demand rose 9.6% in the year through June 13
Rupee-bond sales by banks have dropped to the lowest in 11 years, diverging sharply from a booming corporate debt market.
Banks have raised ₹5,920 crore in additional tier I and tier II notes—debt that counts as capital—so far this year. That's a 52% drop from a year earlier and the lowest issuance since 2014, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
