AP offers ₹22,000-cr sops to Google for data centres

KEY INCENTIVE COMPONENTS
GOOGLE SUBSIDIARY RAIDEN Infotech India,which is setting up data centres in Andhra Pradesh with a cumulative investment exceeding ₹87,500 crore, will receive ₹22,000 crore as incentives from the state government.
Raiden will set up the data centres with a capacity of more than 1,000 MW in Visakhapatnam and Anakapalli districts in a phased manner, according to a recent government order.
In its biggest-ever investment in India, tech giant Google on Tuesday said it would invest $15 billion in building an AI infrastructure hub in Andhra Pradesh, which would include a gigawatt-scale data centre in partnership with Adani Group.
