WITH 31 MILLION LEARNERS, INDIA SURPASSES THE US AND EUROPE

ACCORDING TO THE Global Skills Report released by Coursera—the online learning platform—India has surpassed Europe and the US in terms of enrollments.

India has 31 million learners on Coursera, more than the US's 27.7 million and Europe's 24.5 million. The learner base in Europe has remained more or less at the same levels over the last few years, but in India it has grown from 17.3 million in 2021, 21.7 million in 2022, 22.2 million in 2023, 24.6 million in 2024, and 31 million in 2025.

In the US, it has grown from about 18 million learners in 2021 to 27.7 million in 2025.
