Hindalco Q3 net falls 45% to ₹2,049 cr, lags estimate

Posts revenue of ₹66,521 crore in Dec quarter
HINDALCO INDUSTRIES REPORTED a 45% year-on-year (yo-y) decline in net profit in the third quarter of FY26 at ₹2,049 crore, compared with ₹3,735 crore in Q3FY25, falling short of Bloomberg estimate of ₹4,141 crore.The aluminium and copper major’s revenue from operations rose 13.9% yo-y to ₹66,521 crore in the December quarter from ₹58,390 crore in the same period last year.
Revenue, however, was marginally below Street estimate of ₹64,581 crore.
Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (Ebitda) stood at ₹8,543 crore, ahead of estimate of ₹8,150 crore, and up 5% from ₹8,308 crore in Q3FY25, aided by lower power, fuel and inventory costs during the quarter.
