GIC: Cashless services to continue for Star Health policyholders

THE GENERAL INSURANCE Council (GIC) has said policyholders of Star Health and Allied Insurance will continue to receive uninterrupted access to healthcare and that their coverage remains fully protected.
GIC termed the decision of the Association of Healthcare Providers (AHPI) to suspend cashless services for Star's policyholders a unilateral and unwarranted step, saying such actions undermine patient interests and risk erosion of trust in the health insurance ecosystem.
