Domestic investors infuse 7x the FPI inflows in 6 years

DOMESTIC INVESTORS INVESTED over ₹18 lakh crore ($210 billion) between April 2019 and June 2025, more than seven times the net inflows of $29 billion by foreign portfolio investors (FPIs), Ananth Narayan, whole time member of Securities and Exchanges Board of India (Sebi), said on Tuesday.

DOMESTIC INVESTORS INVESTED over ₹18 lakh crore ($210 billion) between April 2019 and June 2025, more than seven times the net inflows of $29 billion by foreign portfolio investors (FPIs), Ananth Narayan, whole time member of Securities and Exchanges Board of India (Sebi), said on Tuesday. This has transformed the markets landscape, he said.

"Opportunities and challenges this trend brings, the need for informed, responsible investing, crucial role of registered financial planners and what Sebi is doing to support these objectives" are notable, he said.
