Dedicated freight corridors cut logistics cost by 6% of GDP

THE DEDICATED FREIGHT corridors (DFC) have reduced India’s logistics cost from 14% to 8-9% of GDP, claimed Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India (DFC-CIL) ina statement.The company said that this reduction is not just an economic achievement but a national mission to strengthen India’s industrial competitiveness and self reliance.
“India's logistics cost is estimated at around %24 lakh crore. The dedicated freight corridors are driving India’s economic growth by enabling an affordable, efficient and environmentally sustainable transport system,” the statement said.
