Inquest opened into stabbing victim's death

AN inquest has been opened into the death of a 24-year old man whose body was found in an Exmouth garden last month.

At the brief hearing at Exeter's County Hall, the coroner identified Denva-Lewis Smith as the young man who was found in the garden of a property in Ashfield Close at 12.45am on May 31.

Police had been called to the property following reports that a man had been assaulted. Emergency services attended the location but Denva was pronounced deceased at the scene.
