HEATHCOAT 2nd XI are still unbeaten at the top of the C Division East following a 15-run win over Ottery St Mary.
Tom Lock (58) and Aussie newcomer Jerry Bedford (67) contributed a half-century each towards Heathcoat's 45-over tally of 182 for seven. Sam O'Nyons (5-31) was Ottery’s stand-out bowler.
Half-centuries from Rhys Norman (62) and Hayden Johnstone (52) kept Ottery in the hunt, but they slowed in the final five overs and were all out for 167.
ALPHINGTON & Countess Wear were consigned to a seven-wicket defeat by Bradninch & Kentisbeare at Kensham Park after being bowled out for just 110.
There were more extras (37) than any individual score in the A&CW total as James Mills (3-20) and Ankit Badwal (4-17) did the damage.
Joe Gillett (36) and Eliot Acton (26no) led the B&K run chase.
SANDFORD 2nd XI consolidated third place in the C Division East with a131-run win over Uplyme.
