Couple both died at home from gunshot wounds

A FORMER Royal Marine and his wife were found dead at their home from gunshot wounds, an inquest has been told.
An inquest was opened on Wednesday, May 14, into the deaths of 66-year-old retired commando John Perkins and his 67-year-old wife Kathryn.
During the brief hearing at County Hall in Exeter, Devon area coroner Alison Longhorn said that on May 7 a family member went to their home in Briar Close, Exmouth, because they had not heard from either party.
She said John, who was born in Kingston upon Thames, was found in the front entrance of the property with a significant head injury.
