Concern proposal is to close city libraries ‘by stealth’

Pinhoe Library in Exeter could see its opening hours cut by more than 50% - from 15 to six per week, under county council proposals.

A consultation on the changes has just closed, but members of Exeter City Council have called for "more modest" changes and collaboration with other organisations to keep libraries fully open.

They also asked for a fuller explanation of the county council's intentions.
