FRANTIC HUNT FOR BABY AS COUPLE ARRESTED

ARISTOCRAT AND BOYFRIEND FOUND are 54 DAYS ON RUN, BUT WITHOUT THEIR CHYLD.
POLICE were today desperately searching for a baby after a missing aristocrat and her sex offender partner were arrested — but their newborn child was not with them and the couple were refusing to say where it is.
Constance Marten, 35, and partner Mark Gordon were held in Brighton last night on suspicion of child neglect, having been missing for 54 days. But their baby, which is not thought to have had medical attention since its birth two months ago, was not there and detectives said the pair were not cooperating with the investigation. Marten, who is from a wealthy family with links to the royal family, and Gordon, 48, were arrested after being spotted by a member of the public in Stanmer Villas, a quiet road north of the city centre, shortly before 9.30pm.
