Engineer Keller provides welcome upgrade after run of flops

UPGRADED guidance by ground engineer Keller today provided much needed cheer after a run of profit warnings across the wider London market.
Keller's shares jumped 14%, bucking a trend of downgrades by other FTSE 250 stocks including National Express owner Mobico and Spirent Communications.
The multinational company, whose major projects include work on the Thames Tideway super sewer, expects a record performance based on guidance for annual operating profits "materially ahead" of City hopes.
The upgrade has been driven by North America and Australia operations, with profitability in Europe squeezed by competitive pricing conditions and some challenging projects.
