President offers love and support’ but rules out pardon in gun crimes case
PRESIDENT Joe Biden embraced his son Hunter as they were reunited following the recovering drug addict's conviction for gun crimes.
After Hunter, 54, was found guilty by a jury in Delaware of lying about his drug use on a form while buying a handgun in 2018, the White House announced that the president's schedule had changed and he would be travelling to their home town of Wilmington.
Mr Biden hugged his son, daughter-in law Melissa and grandson Beau on the tarmac after touching down at an air base on Air Force One. The president said in a statement that he and the first lady would always be there for their son "with our love and support".
