PRINCE Harry made a surprise appearance at an awards ceremony in Las Vegas but made no mention of his father, who has started his cancer treatment.
The Duke of Sussex flew in just 24 hours after landing in Los Angeles following his 11,000-mile round trip to London to see the King for 45 minutes.
In his first public appearance since the news of the monarch's illness was announced, he attended the NFL Honours ceremony to present American football star Cameron Heyward with the Walter Payton man of the year award.
The duke made a series of jokes at the American football event, insisting the US "stole rugby from us and you made it your own". He said: "Instead of passing it backwards, just pass it forwards.
Why not wear pads and a helmet? Of course, have an offence and defence, that makes sense, and why not have a breather every 15 seconds? And you know what? Instead of a 10-month season, let’s just make it 18 weeks. Genius.”
