Planning application change to appease neighbours in Parton

A couple are offering to make changes to their construction plans to appease neighbours and secure planning permission for new annexe accommodation.

Mr and Mrs P Wilson, who live in Parton, were disappointed in June this year when Dumfries and Galloway Council's planning department rejected their plans to transform a domestic outbuilding into a one-bedroom annexe property.
Neighbours lodged an objection with Dumfries and Galloway Council, arguing that the development would “obliterate the character of the original building and result in a self-contained dwelling”.
They also complained that the development would be “disproportionate in size to the established built environment”.
