19 years for man who tried to bring £20m in drugs into Dover

A MAN has been sentenced to 19 years in prison after a major National Crime Agency (NCA) investigation linked him to two large-scale drug importations through Dover.

Eddie Burton
Eddie Burton, 23, from Liverpool, was sentenced at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday.
His sentencing followed on from that of his former partner, Sian Banks, 25, also from Liverpool, who was jailed for five years in February for her role in the criminal enterprise.
In the summer of 2022, while Burton was living in Europe, Border Force officers intercepted two lorries at Dover Port.
