Sky Blues could be joining race for Travis

COVENTRY City have reportedly joined the race to sign Blackburn Rovers captain Lewis Travis.

Derby County and Birmingham City have also been linked with the Rovers midfielder, who is approach-ing the final year of his contract.

Football League World say the Sky Blues have joined the queue, which would mean he could link up with ex-Rams manager Frank Lampard.

Lampard has made only one sign-ing so far this summer, which is left-back Miguel Angel Brau, and will be hoping to beef up his squad as they target another promotion push in the Championship.

Wrexham were reported to have registered an interest in Travis but there have since been claims that they have cooled their interest in the 27-year-old.
