RELIEF as no one hurt in city home blaze

EMERGENCY services rushed to the scene of a house fire in a Derby street yesterday, with Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service saying it was likely caused by a candle being knocked over.

Firefighters from across Derbyshire were called to Hanwell Close in Boulton Moor at around 5am after reports of a fire.
It had broken out in a bedroom of a three-storey semidetached home, with crews in attendance from Ascot Drive, Nottingham Road, Long Eaton and Kingsway fire stations.
An aerial ladder platform supported firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and everyone in the property got out safely, with no injuries reported.
