Man with 29 convictions tells judge 'I am more stupid than dangerous'

A HEAVILY-convicted Derby criminal told a court he was “more stupid than dangerous” after admitting a number of fresh offences.

Jacob Jones made the comment to Judge Shaun Smith KC after being told his criminal history at the age of just 26 meant he could be assessed under the criminal justice system's dangerousness provisions and potentially receive longer jail terms.

The defendant, who has 29 convictions, admitted attempted robbery, causing actual bodily harm, and possessing a knife and a shortened shotgun, when he appeared from custody at Derby Crown Court yesterday.
