Jacks Parrot perfect for Bangor marathon
Derby Telegraph
|February 06, 2026
JACKS Parrot can benefit from dropping in class to take the Xenon Workplace North Wales National Handicap Chase at Bangor.
This race will not be for the fainthearted given it is over three miles and five furlongs in what will be gruelling conditions.
To say he is only seven, Jacks Parrot has a lot of experience in the bank as he was chasing as a four-year-old in France.
He won two of his first three for Oliver Greenall and Josh Guerriero but has been allowed little respite from the handicapper since.
After a fine run in the 2024 Tommy Whittle when second to Egbert at such a young age, it was pretty obvious that race was going to be a target again this season, and while he ran respectably in third, nothing could get near Grand Geste that day.
