BOWYER: BREWERS PREPARED FOR ORIENT TEST
BURTON Albion head coach Gary Bowyer says his side head into today’s clash at home to Leyton Orient “full of confidence” following the win over Blackpool last time out.
The Brewers return to League One action this afternoon after a two-week gap in their schedule, with last weekend's fixture at Exeter City postponed owing to a fire at St James Park.
Albion are back at the Pirelli Stadium after beating Blackpool 1-0 on home turf in their previous encounter, a result that leaves Bowyer's side 14th in the table, on 22 points from 16 matches played.
The Brewers host an Orient side next up that are 16th, on 21 points after 17 games. Richie Wellens’ side narrowly missed out on promotion from League One last term, with the O’s beaten in the playoff final by Charlton Athletic.
Today's visitors have won six, drawn three and lost eight of their league matches this season. The O's are the division’s joint-highest goalscorers so far this term with 25 strikes, but have also let in the most to date with 29 goals conceded.
