Former care home is destroyed by blaze

ARSONISTS have been blamed for a fire at an abandoned care home in Derbyshire.
Firefighters were called to the derelict former Hazelwood care home in Skeavingtons Lane, Ilkeston, just before 7pm on Tuesday.
The blaze was extinguished by firefighters from Ilkeston, Heanor and Eastwood. Firefighters used main line jets, thermal imaging cameras and ladders to help tackle the fire.
An investigation found the fire was likely to have been started deliberately, and a spokesperson for the fire service confirmed that police had been made aware.
