Plans are submitted for a 60-acre country park
A NEW 60-acre country park is set to be built in a Derby suburb after plans submitted to the council were approved.
Derby City Council has given the green light for developer Bellway’s proposal to create a park next to its new housing developments at Snelsmoor Village in Chellaston.
The new country park is set to include 60 acres of green open space with various pathways as well as new hedgerows, and wildflower and wetland meadow planting. Over 350 trees will be planted, including a community orchard of 70 apple, pear and plum trees.
