Beef thief banned from several stores after shoplifting spree

A DERBYSHIRE man described as a “serial shoplifter" has been banned from entering several big stores in parts of the county for the next two years.

Ian Gilbert has a history of shoplifting, according to police, and he was recently charged with four thefts relating to items stolen from shops in Ripley, which included stealing 13 steaks from Sainsbury's.
