Battling Ewes praised as Georgia's strike bags three points

DERBY County Women head coach Sam Griffiths praised her side's "battling performance" as the Ewes secured their first away win of the FA Women's National League Northern Premier Division campaign winning 1-0 against Sporting Khalsa.
Substitute Georgia Stevens' second-half strike was the difference between the sides as the Ewes picked up their third win on the bounce in all competitions.
The hosts piled on the pressure in the closing stages of the game in search of an equaliser but firm defending secured all three points for the Ewes.
"I'm not sure either team did enough to go in at halftime, one, two goals up," said Griffiths.
