Hanover Park se eie Muneeb Hermans to make a mark at the Cape Town Jazz Fest
WITH the countdown to the Cape Town International Jazz Festival (CTIJF) underway, Hanover Park trumpeter Muneeb Hermans is set to perform at the festival this year as part of a range of projects.
On Friday, 27 March, Hermans will conduct a 20-piece ensemble as part of the CTIJF Jazz Orchestra, showcasing a mix of his original compositions and standard American jazz repertoire.
On Saturday, 28 March, he will perform with Camissa Knights, paying tribute to great South African artists, with special guest Babalwa Meintjies joining the performance.
"My Friday set is a one-hour powerhouse," Hermans said.
"I've gathered 20 of the top musicians in Cape Town to deliver a mix of everything - original music and classics.
