WE SHOWED SOME FIGHT
Daily Voice
|September 11, 2025
BAFANA Bafana coach Hugo Broos has praised his span’s grit and resilience following their hard-fought 1-1 draw against Nigeria at the Free State Stadium, insisting it was not about flair but about fighting for every inch on the pitch.
-
Bafana were the first to put their name on the scoreboard after Mohau Nkota forced an own goal from Nigeria captain William Troost-Ekong who beat his own goalkeeper to put the home team in the lead in the 25th minute.
Nigeria equalised on the stroke of halftime through Calvin Bassey just before the break.
